What they do

Preferred Cooling is a trading name of Preferred Refrigeration Ltd, based on Snowhill Business Centre in Crawley, about 25 miles from Brighton. It has a dedicated Brighton and Hove page and says it supports residential and commercial customers throughout the city. The company was incorporated in April 2008, so it is 18 years old.

For homes it fits wall-mounted splits, multi-split systems for several rooms from one outdoor unit, and ducted systems hidden in ceiling spaces. The site says every domestic system it installs works as a heat pump, so it heats as well as cools. It also does servicing, preventative maintenance, repairs and commercial work. Brands named are Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, LG and Samsung, and its engineers have Mitsubishi Heavy Industries installation and service training. It offers free home surveys with detailed written quotes. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm.
