Air Con Guide

About Air Con Guide

Air Con Guide helps you find an air conditioning installer you can check. It starts in Brighton & Hove, it is independent, and nobody pays to be on it.

What this site is

Finding an air conditioning installer usually means a lead-generation site that sells your details to several firms, or a manufacturer's finder that only lists its own brand. Neither tells you whether the firm is actually allowed to handle the refrigerant, how long it has been trading, or what a job might cost.

Air Con Guide is a directory built around those three questions. For each installer we check F-gas certification against the public registers, company status and age at Companies House, and we copy any prices the installer publishes, each with its date and a link to the page it came from. Right now 39 installers are listed.

What we do not do

  • We do not take money to list an installer, to rank it higher, or to mark it as recommended. The default order is "F-gas verified first, then most complete profile, then A to Z".
  • We do not sell your details. When you press Get a quote you go straight to the installer's own page. We earn nothing from the enquiry.
  • We do not copy review text, and we do not show our own star ratings. Where an installer displays a rating on its own site, we show that headline score, the platform and the date, and link to it.
  • We do not list installers we cannot place in the area, retailers with no installation service, or lead-generation sites.

Who runs it

The site is edited by Alex Christou. There are no other people named here because nobody else writes or signs off the pages. Corrections go to hello@airconguide.co.uk and are handled as set out in the editorial policy.

How it is paid for

Today it is not, and it costs a little to run. If that changes we will say so here before it changes anything on the pages: any future income will not depend on which installer you choose, and installers will never be able to buy a better place in the lists. Analytics are off unless you accept them, and are described on the privacy page.
