Privacy and cookies
No accounts, nothing sent when you save an installer, and analytics only if you accept them. This is what is stored in your browser and what we collect.

What stays on your device
- Shortlist: the installers you save are kept in your browser's local storage so they are still there next visit. They are never sent to us.
- Display choices: light or dark mode, whether interface sounds are on (off by default), and your cookie choice.
- Calculator inputs are not saved anywhere.
Analytics (only if you accept)
A banner asks whether we may use anonymous analytics. If you reject it, or your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, nothing is loaded. If you accept, we load PostHog (EU servers) to count which pages, searches, filters and installer links are used, so we can fix what is confusing. We record events such as "quote link clicked" with the installer's name, not who you are. We do not record sessions or build profiles of individual visitors, and we do not use advertising trackers. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings in the footer; withdrawing deletes what PostHog stored in your browser.
When you leave this site
Installer links, register links and review links open other websites, which have their own privacy policies. The map loads tiles from OpenFreeMap when you open it, and the page then shares your IP address with that service as any web request does.
If you write to hello@airconguide.co.uk, we use your message and address only to reply and keep it only as long as needed to resolve the issue.
