Editorial and corrections policy
What we list, what we leave out, how fast we fix mistakes, and why nobody can pay for a better place in the lists.

What we list
Businesses that install air conditioning or air-to-air heat pumps for homes or commercial premises, and that are based in, or say they serve, the area a page covers. Servicing and repair only firms are listed only if they say so and are marked accordingly.
What we leave out
- Retailers and manufacturers with no installation service, and lead-generation or comparison sites.
- Installers we cannot place in the area, or whose company has ceased trading.
- Anyone we cannot find any F-gas information for, unless we publish them with a visible warning that we could not verify certification.
- Car air conditioning, and portable or window units sold as products.
Independence
No installer, manufacturer or marketplace pays for a listing, a higher place, a badge or a mention. The default order is set by what we could verify, then by profile completeness, then alphabetically. There is no "sponsored" slot. We do not take referral fees for enquiries.
Corrections
If something is wrong, email hello@airconguide.co.uk with the page and what is wrong. A person reads every message. We aim to reply within two working days; a confirmed factual error is fixed on the next build, and where a date or price changed we show the new date. An installer that disputes an F-gas or Companies House finding can send a certificate or company number and we will re-check the register.
Photos are taken from installers' own websites, credited, and removed on request. Installers can find the details on the for installers page.
Conflicts of interest
The editor, Alex Christou, has no financial interest in any installer listed. If that changes it will be shown on that installer's page.
