Goode Plumbing and Heating

Goode Plumbing and Heating Ltd is a local family-run plumbing and heating company with an office team, based at Unit 2a, The Hyde in Brighton. Companies House shows it was incorporated on 17 October 2022, so the company is 3 years old. Air conditioning is one service line, with a dedicated page but no air conditioning case studies or named projects.

The page covers residential and home office installations (including loft conversions and garden rooms), commercial and letting-agent services, and routine servicing with sanitisation, filter cleaning and refrigerant leak checks. It highlights neat trunking and pipe runs on the outside of the property.

The air conditioning page doesn't say whether it fits single or multi splits, ducted or cassette systems, and doesn't name air conditioning brands. The site states Worcester Bosch and Vaillant accreditation for boilers, which is a separate trade. Coverage listed is Brighton & Hove, Worthing, Lancing, Shoreham, Seaford, Newhaven, Lewes, Uckfield, Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath, among others.

F-gas: verified on the REFCOM register, where "Goode Plumbing and Heating LTD" is listed in Brighton with the F-Gas tick. The register shows no certificate number. Its own site calls it a fully REFCOM certified (F-Gas) company.

The company is active at Companies House (number 14423913). The site also says it is an MCS certified installer, in connection with heat pump grants. It gives no certificate number and we couldn't check the MCS register, so treat that as a claim. No air conditioning manufacturer approval is stated.

No air conditioning prices are published; ask for a written quote including the unit, installation, pipework and commissioning, and whether VAT is included. No air conditioning warranty terms are published. Elsewhere the site states repairs from £90+VAT for plumbing and heating, and up to 12-year guarantees on boiler installations, but those are not air conditioning terms. Finance is advertised at 10.9% APR representative, so ask for the full terms before you sign.

• Air conditioning sits beside plumbing and heating, so ask who does the air conditioning work and what experience they have with it.
• Ask which air conditioning system types and brands it installs; neither is named.
• The site offers a free, no-obligation site survey.
• Heat pump installs are mentioned with MCS in the context of the government grant, but the certificate number isn't published.
• The site also describes finance options "10.9%APR representative".
