What they do

Cool Homes Sussex describes itself as a family business based in Worthing, West Sussex, specialising in installing and maintaining modern A+++ rated air conditioning systems for domestic and commercial customers. We found no Companies House record under that name, so it is probably a sole trader, and there is no incorporation date or company status to check. No premises address is published.

Its examples include a cassette split system in a hair salon and high-level wall-mounted units in homes. The brands it names are Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Daikin, LG and Panasonic. It also offers servicing and maintenance and a free site visit. The base towns on the site run from Goring-By-Sea and Worthing through Chichester, Storrington and Horsham to Burgess Hill and Hove, and Hove is the only place from Brighton and Hove it names.

Credentials

F-gas: the site says it can be found on the F-Gas register, without naming the body, and it is verified on the Quidos F-Gas Register public directory. No certificate number is shown there, and a REFCOM name search found nothing. The site also says its engineers hold up to date refrigerant handling certificates and that the business is fully insured.

Company status: no Companies House record found. No manufacturer approvals or MCS number are published.

Prices and warranty

No prices or warranty terms are published. Ask for a written quote after the free site visit, naming the units and brand, pipework, electrical work, commissioning and VAT.

Good to know

  • Trading evidence is thin. The site footer says 2025, the contact form and phone number work, and the Quidos listing is current, but no dated projects or news are shown.
  • Most of its work is in West Sussex.
  • The site's brand line puts Mitsubishi Heavy Industries first, which is a different brand from Mitsubishi Electric.
  • Ask who you will be dealing with and for a written quote, because there is no company record to check.

Good fit if

  • A small local firm for homes and offices
  • Daikin, LG, Panasonic or Mitsubishi Heavy Industries

Maybe not if

  • You want a company registered at Companies House
  • You want prices, reviews or a long record

What to ask for in the written quote

  • The make, model and kW rating of each unit. Check the size against our size calculator.
  • What the price includes: pipework, electrics, condensate drain, making good and commissioning.
  • A copy of the company F-gas certificate, and the engineer's certificate number.
  • Warranty on parts and labour, and whether it depends on an approved installer.
  • The survey fee, the start date and how many days the job takes.
